IBM Director Agent 5.20.x - Linux

Description

This connector enables hardware monitoring through the IBM Director Agent version 5.20.x which supports some (not all) xSeries servers.

Connector Activation Criteria

The IBM Director Agent 5.20.x - Linux connector will be automatically activated, and its status will be reported as OK if all the below criteria are met:

  • The device type must be one of: Linux
  • A process with command line matching cimserver is running on the host
  • The WBEM query below succeeds:
    • Namespace: root
    • Query: SELECT Name FROM __NAMESPACE
    • Result contains: ^ibmsd;*$ (regex)
  • The WBEM query below succeeds:
    • Namespace: root/ibmsd
    • Query: SELECT Version FROM IBMPSG_DirectorAgent
    • Result contains: ^5\.2.* (regex)
  • The WBEM query below succeeds:
    • Namespace: root/ibmsd
    • Query: SELECT ProductName FROM IBMPSG_ComputerSystemDetails
